Love for Ramen

Food, japanese, Uncategorized

Lately, I caught myself wanting to try all the Ramen places that I see. I am more of a burger-pizza-pasta lover tbh but thanks to hubby I finally discovered my love for Ramen.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka – Nuvali

This is their Small Ramen with Fried Chicken and Small Rice Bowl Set.

For me this is a classic and the safest choice in their menu. This is a shio, shoyu and miso soup. The soup alone is flavorful but giving enough room for you to add spices just how you like it. I failed to take a photo of the dessert included cause my mom dug right away. This Santouka set is for P470.

Visit their FB page for their promos or their official website for more

Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen – Alabang Town Center

Their Spicy Ramen Chicken Karaage Set and an additional order of Gyoza

This set is only for P299 plus P150 for the gyoza. We ate during lunch time and grabbed their promo on weekdays from 11am to 4pm for their Ramen Set. Everything for P299! Great deal right? 😊

I ordered their Spicy Ramen, this excites me cause I want some spicy food that day. however, it doesn’t have a tinge of spice at all. I even asked my friend because we have the same order. Oh well I still enjoyed every sip though. It might not be spicy but the soup is soooo creamy and tasty! The chicken karaage is the perfect partner for this big bowl of ramen. Crispy, tender and not overly seasoned. It blends well with everything together with their Gyoza.

The tea included, I assume, is a cold black tea. Watch out! this is not your usual sweet iced tea. Something to keep in mind especially for those who doesn’t enjoy drinking teas in general. I enjoyed mine in case you’re wondering.. 😁

This is a mommy on a budget approved.

Hanamaruken Ramen – Alabang Town Center

Their Happiness Ramen

This is literally happiness in a bowl. Even the pickiest eater would fell inlove with this bowl of perfection. The meat is soooo tender it melts right in your mouth. The soup is like Bulalo’s broth that’s been simmering for 5 hours straight.

We also ordered their Ebi tempura and their Gyoza. And as always, family members gone wild when everything came in. Hubby was just lucky enough to take a snap of the meaty goodness above. 📷

This big bowl of Ramen is more or less P550.

Can’t wait for my next Ramen Adventure! 🙂

Xoxo 😊

8 Cuts Burger Blends – Alabang Town Center

Food, Uncategorized

Mic-ee, a friend from work urged us to try 8 Cuts Burger Blends located at Alabang Town Center. If you are working as an accounting processor of a Payroll client, you probably know how stressful it is during month end.

Aside from that, our budget, being a group of certified kuripots and the sweldo more than a week away, we just can’t shed a 300 worth of meal in just one sitting. Knowing how determined he is, I jokingly said, “Ganda lang ang puhunan ko today!”. He said, “Okay!”. Aba,Madaling kausap! lol. So we decided to fulfill his cravings and had our lunch there. We don’t have the luxury of time, so we just ordered their Killer Combo deal 1. 1/4 LB Cheeseburger + Choice of Skinny Fries or Onion Rings with Iced Tea.

The burger patty is indeed 100%. I am no expert but I think their patties are medium rare? I liked mine well done but i must say, I liked how the patty is juicy and not overly seasoned. I might have a change of heart cause I love how well-balanced it is.

The cheeseburger may not be oozing with cheese but the taste is enough to satisfy our tummies. The Sesame bun and the dressing is just right, have tasted butter somewhere in between which I like cause I am a sucker for anything with butter.

I asked my friends, they liked it. I read a few reviews, this has been one of the best burger joints and i must agree cause i know that what they offer is fresh and not frozen.

They blended and hand pressed their burger patties right then and there. I have yet to try their other 7 Cuts custom patty. And you must try their Onion Rings, we ordered 1 bucket for P 200. It is bursting with flavor and crisp to perfection.

P.S. I used my Sony Xperia phone, it might not be the best shots but I still hope you can enjoy the photos.

For a Mommy on a budget, this P 300 worth of Meal is an A-Okay! It might be a bit pricey for some but you won’t regret paying this much for something of quality. Service was fast and servers are very approachable. Will definitely come back with the family! 🙂

My Son’s 1st Birthday Party: Jollibee Kids Party

Food, Party, Uncategorized

I wanted to make sure that I’ll be posting all about my Son’s 1st Birthday party from preparation up to the event itself.

Let’s face it, planning an event is very nerve-wracking. Given that I am working full-time, as much as I wanted to plan and organize my son’s first ever birthday party, I just know that I won’t probably finish everything on time.

When and Where?

My son’s actual birthday falls on Tuesday, so I decided that we will make a separate celebration on the coming weekend so that our family and friends will be there too.

I researched possible food chains, venues, caterers etc. that’s easy on the budget and practical. After all the research I settled with what‘s tried and tested.

I chose Jollibee.

  • I think it is the most affordable out of all the other fast food chains.
  • You can custom the food you’ll serve as long as you have purchased worth 5000Php of solo food orders. Just do the math I know you’ll get to find what is affordable for you.
  • You can never go wrong with Jollibee, Kids love him.
  • Venue is free with host and of course, Jollibee (mascot) himself will be there to entertain the kids.
  • You just don’t have to deal with all the stress of trying to contact the caterer, the venue. Etc. You get the idea. 😀

Visit their website at so that you can save your target date or go to your chosen branch. I made a down payment of 3000Php to secure the slot. This will be deducted to your total bill after the party.

I chose to avail Jollibee’s chocolate cake to save time. You may opt to bring yours but they will only allow to serve cakes purchased from Red Ribbon (retail partner) in the venue.

Party Loot Bags

I paid 1500Php just for the Party Kit which includes the following.

♥ 30 Name tags and 30 Balloons

♥ 20 Assorted Game Prizes

♥ 15 Party Hats, 15 Invitation Cards and 15 Tray liners

♥ 5 Boxes of Crayons

♥ 1 Message Board

♥ Jollibee Mascot appearance

I did not avail their loot bags. Initially I wanted Elmo’s World to be the party theme. Due to copyright, you can only choose from their available theme or use general themes. So I decided that I will just buy and create my own loot bags to add a bit of my son’s personality in it.

My son loves his Mr. Lion Pillow, so I decided that I will incorporate Lion on his loot bags.

I went to Divisoria with a friend to look for wholesale items.

I found these cardboard bags of 10(Pcs) for 35Php only. I Chose red since my son will be wearing his red long sleeves.

Then some colorful key chains for 60Php a dozen and Bubbles worth 130Php for 20 Pcs. Who doesn’t want bubbles? Right? 😀 I only included these two items plus random chocolates and candies inside to avoid stress among mommies to pick up all the tiny nick knacks after their kids.

Then, I googled a bit and look for candy topper templates. I used this particular one found at

Then I attached it to the loot bags. I included my Son’s name and date of the event on the blank space above

Photobooth: PSHOT
I asked one of my close friends for recommendations. She sent me a link on facebook and told me her great experience when she availed their photo booth. Plus, it is very affordable and definitely a bang for your buck. Well, I must say it is true because I also searched for other photo booths near our area but theirs are the most affordable and practical.

They have different services and packages offered but I only chose to stick with their 2500Php package. Just the basic where we can use their photo booths for 2 hours unlimited shots with props, free photo standee, and to my surprise, a free basic photo coverage during the event.

Head on to their FB Account and see for yourself how affordable and great their services are based from my experience and other’s reviews. I gave them 5 stars for their superb and accommodating service during the event.

Special thanks to le hubby’s free gift card, we were able to purchase the following.

Then I just bought his shoe for P 399.75 at Metro Gaisano Alabang

When worn

Had a blast with family and friends. Kudos also for the party hosts. They made sure everyone is having fun during the party.

Hubby has been raving about a new burger place near our home that his friend recommended. According to him they only serve home-made burgers . Being a Certified Food Lover that he is, he got curious and went there the other night and tried it for himself. I was not as excited as he is since I was dead tired due to workloads in the office. Burger Places/ Restaurants were popping almost everywhere and I’ve tried most of them so I don’t expect anything different. So I just went to bed early.

The following morning, I went about and do my usual routine every morning before going to work. He asked me if I liked the burger that he brought home last night. I did not notice the bag sitting’ on my bedside. I wasn’t sure if he was just makin fun of me or I was just half asleep cause he said that we had a brief conversation and told me about the burger. I honestly can’t remember a thing and this happened a lot of times already. Lol!  I told him I’m just going to eat while in our car cause we have to hurry to avoid the rush hour.

Anyways,  I opened the brown paper bag not expecting anything extra ordinary, but Lo and Behold! The burger is quite massive than any other regular burgers I’ve tried. I got excited, (finally!) it was neatly wrapped in a foil. When I opened it, a generous amount of cheese sauce almost dripped on my shirt. It is jam-packed with everything you want in a burger and more… The patty is double the size of a regular burger. Hubby asked how was it.  I just continued eating, lol.. I am certain that their patty is indeed Home made and 100% pure beef. I dig in a bit and saw a thick slice of (not sure which) ham/spam and strips of bacon. If I can recall it correctly, what hubby gave me is their Cheesy Bacon.

I just have no words to describe how  happy and satisfied I am with the burger eventhough it was from his late night food escapade. Hubby also said how he love their nachos and milkshake. And guess what, their menu is definitely reasonably priced. Their Burger ranges from 80 pesos – 150 pesos. (Will update in case they changed their prices)

Sooooooo, after hearing all of the praises from hubby. I am tempted to try out and see it for myself.

A day passed, hubby and I decided to eat there before heading home. It is very accessible and easy to locate given that it is only along Laguna Bel Air 1 Main Road (Sta. Rosa, Laguna)

The owner is very accommodating, he would welcome and will gladly explain what they have in the menu.

The South Burger Counter

So we ordered their South Burger Overload. The owner said that it’s a mix of their 2 burgers. Sorry I am just bad with remembering names in general but this comes with a sunny side up egg.  You can add 30 pesos to avail of their drinks and mojo added to your burger. They only have 2 choices of drinks, Hubby ordered their Red Tea and I decided to try their Cucumber Lemonade. We also ordered their nachos.

South Burger Overload P 150 + 30 for the mojo and drinks

Look how mouth-watering that is!

They served it in a wood type – chopping board complete with knife, fork and plastic gloves.

Red Tea and Cucumber Lemonade

I failed to take a picture of their Nachos cause hubby dug right away the moment they served it.

Due to its serving size, I am sooo full. I love their Cucumber Lemonade. Their Nacho is quite spicy for my liking but still an A+ for its taste.

The Verdict

I would say, this is the best burger I’ve tried. Just what I’ve said it is indeed 100% Pure beef
patty and home-made. Generous amount of everything from their cheese sauce to their veggies. They only offer limited choices in their menu, but hopefully they would add a few more. The place is quite small though. Reasonably priced for a great and best tasting burger in the South. Will be coming back to try their milk shake, soon. 🙂
